We have exclusive use of a hotel with just 12 ensuite rooms, all with a/c and balconies. It's got two lovely spacious yoga studios and a lawn by the pool that's great for yoga too. For people who have stayed at Astrikas a facelift has added a/c and shower curtains in all rooms, a new bigger fridge and full interior redecoration.

Being in the countryside there's plenty of local walks and there's just the pleasure of being by the pool surrounded by local hills with view of more distant mountains. Most people want to visit the beach a few times so one day we guide an easy walk there and other days we drive people to the beach so everyone gets at least one free trip to the beach. For more visits we can organise shared taxis.

The benefits of yoga can be more readily appreciated if life takes on a simplicity, so you can upgrade to full board here. You can decide after a taste-it-and-see whether you wish to do this - but people love Eleftheria's cooking and the food is grown in the field between her café and the Retreat. If you take the full board option you can give your wallet a total rest for the week. Nearby there is a dramatic gorge where griffon vultures nest. It's a lovely walk with a taverna at the end, or you can return to the Retreat for fruit and light snacks which we provide in the communal kitchen.
