 Flights & Ferries There are direct flights to Chania from several UK airports including Manchester, Gatwick, Birmingham and Bristol and these generally take around 31/2 hours. There are also flights via Athens and overnight ferry crossings from Athens (Piraeus) to Souda Bay near Chania. Airport Transfers Taxi transfers from Chania are included in the price for all Yoga and Discovery Holidays. There is a supplement of £90 for return transfers per taxi of up to 3 persons from Heraklion Airport. The journey takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes by taxi from Heraklion to Potamida or 45 minutes from Chania Airport. For Simply Accommodation holidays we can arrange taxi transfer for you at either airport and the payment is made when you book your holiday. 
Local Car & Cycle HireA friendly, Kastelli based car hire agency will rent you a car for just a few days or you can choose to pick up your hire car at either airport. We provide directions for customers wishing to opt for self-drive. Cycling is an excellent way to explore the coastal plain and valleys where you will find many easy-going routes to choose from.
